How to record your dog’s walks

Recording your walks means keeping track of your routes, how long they last and how regular they are. Here is what it is for, and how to go about it.

In brief

  1. A GPS on the collar records your dog’s actual route, not yours.
  2. You can then view the route, the duration and the history of your outings.
  3. A safe zone around your home alerts you if it leaves.
  4. In Bixar, your walks also count towards your Rewards.

A running app records your outings. A GPS on the collar records your dog’s — including when it goes off exploring fifty metres ahead of you.

Why track your walks
  • RoutesFind a great walk again, vary your routes.
  • DurationSee the time actually spent outdoors, week after week.
  • RegularitySpot the days without an outing.
