What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. Some are essential for the website to function, others may only be placed with your agreement.

The cookies used on bixar.fr

The website uses the following strictly necessary cookies, which are exempt from consent. Audience measurement, if you accept it, does not place any cookie (see below):

• bixar_cookie_consent: stores your cookie choices. Duration: 6 months.
• bixar_session: keeps your cart and your login. It cannot be read by the page’s scripts. Duration: 2 hours.
• bixar_auth_tx: secures the login step for your account. Duration: 10 minutes.
• Cookies of the Auth0 login service: placed on the login page, they maintain your authentication. Duration: that of your login session.
• Stripe cookies: placed only on the payment page, they are used to secure payment and to prevent fraud. Duration: up to 1 year.

Audience measurement (only with your agreement)

If you activate the “Audience measurement” option (or “Accept all”), the website loads two traffic statistics tools: Vercel (Vercel Web Analytics) and Plausible (Plausible Analytics). They count the pages viewed and indicate the referring site, the device type, the operating system and browser, an approximate location (country, region, city) inferred from your IP address, as well as the time spent and reading depth. They do not place any cookie: a visit is recognised by a daily identifier calculated from your IP address and your browser, automatically deleted within 24 hours, with no link to your account, your e-mail or your orders. They also respect your browser’s “Do Not Track” option: if it is enabled, nothing is measured, even with your agreement. The pages of your account, your cart, the checkout and the login are never counted, and no address parameter is transmitted. Without your agreement, these scripts are not loaded and no data is sent. Withdrawing your agreement via “Manage cookies” immediately stops any further sending.

Marketing cookies (only with your agreement)

If you choose “Accept all” or activate the “Marketing” option, the website loads the pixels of Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and of TikTok. They are used to measure purchases resulting from our advertising and to show you our ads. Without your agreement, none of these scripts is loaded and no data is sent.

• _fbp and _fbc (Meta): identify your browser and the Meta advert you came from. Duration: up to 3 months.
• _ttp (TikTok): identifies your browser for the measurement of TikTok adverts. Duration: up to 13 months.

When you accept, our servers also send Meta and TikTok the events of your shopping browsing (product viewed, addition to cart, start of checkout, purchase with amount and order number). For a purchase, your e-mail address is transmitted in hashed, unreadable form. These companies may process this data outside the European Union; see our Privacy Policy. They also have their own policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy and https://www.tiktok.com/legal/page/eea/privacy-policy/fr.

The website also uses your browser’s local storage to remember the boxes you tick in the lists in our guides. This information remains on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Your choices

On your first visit, a banner allows you to accept, refuse or customise non-essential cookies. Refusing is as simple as accepting, and refusing does not prevent you from using the website.

You can change your choice at any time via the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of each page. Your choice is kept for 6 months, after which we ask you again.

Withdrawing your agreement immediately stops the loading of audience measurement and of the pixels. Marketing cookies already placed can be deleted from your browser settings.

Configuring your browser

You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the cart or login from working.
